Dear Jia Chen:
Somehow your interior response through the brush to external events is more convincing than other work I have seen. I like what you do.  I like your parallel relationship to music as well. This makes sense -- the rhythm, variations and subtle intensity all come together nicely.

Dear Jia Chen:
I know what you mean about pretention in the art world.  I think it is best to take a neutral position toward art world fame and simply do what you do. You should present the work to people you believe can grasp it beyond the superficial. Today this kind of approach is extremely rare, but I've found that if you present yourself as real rather than conforming to what everyone else thinks and does, that you are more able to clarify what you want and connect with the right people.
